Guardians Analysis: Coming off a important 5-2 win
On Wednesday, Logan Allen will take the mound for the Guardians. Despite giving up three runs, including two home runs, in five innings during his season debut last Friday against the Athletics, Allen managed to secure the victory. With a 7-8 record in 125.1 innings pitched and a 3.81 ERA and 1.40 WHIP, the lefty had a good first season in 2023. Allen amassed 119 points. During spring training, he gave up 11 runs in 18 innings. He has never faced the Mariners before. In order to win games, Cleveland depends on its pitching, and thus far, it has performed admirably, giving up four runs or fewer in all but one of their games as of Tuesday night, though the first series was against the A’s.

The Seattle Mariners hope to build on their Monday triumph over the Guardians entering this game. With a home run and three RBIs apiece, Mitch Haniger, J.P. Crawford, and Dominic Canzone lead the team. Haniger also has six hits and two doubles. Ty France leads the club in hits this season with seven, and his batting average is .333. Additionally, Polanco leads the team in strikeouts with 10 this year. For the Mariners, George Kirby, who is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and eight strikeouts this season, will receive the start in this game.
