The Miami Marlins enter this game hoping to gain momentum from their series victory over the Oakland A’s, which they narrowly avoided losing despite failing to build on their previous set’s sweeping of the Rockies. The Marlins’ 4-run first inning from Miami turned out to be all the offense they would need in the end, although it was bookended by a 3-run sixth and a 4-run ninth. Dodgers Analysis: They’ve won 4 games in a row
In their victory over Atlanta, the Los Angeles bats continued to blaze hot, scoring 11 runs on 16 hits. In the end, four Dodgers players recorded multiple hits. Max Muncy went 4-5 at the plate and blasted three home runs in an impressive showing. Tyler Glasnow was given the start, and in seven innings, he struck out ten batters while giving up two runs on 5 hits. R.H. Walker Buehler will be back in town following his 15-Day IL appearance. In his past three games against the Dodgers, Buehler is 2-1. He most recently pitched five innings, giving up three runs on five hits while striking out six batters. Buehler will have some dust to shake, to put it mildly, considering he hasn’t started in a major league game since 2022.
