The 3rd and last match of a three-game series between the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees will take place on Thursday June 22nd at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees have already won the series as they won the first two games, 3-1 on Tuesday and 4-2 in their last game on Wednesday.

On Thursday night against a Mariners squad that can hit, but has fallen flat since losing its star pitcher due to injury, this trend may continue.
In this game, Mariners pitcher Bryan Woo is making his 4th start of the year on the mound. He enters the game with a record of 0-1, a 7.30 ERA, a 1.297 WHIP, 2 walks, and 20 strikeouts in 12.1 innings of play. In his most recent start, which took place at home versus the White Sox, Woo was not factored in the decision. He pitched 5.2 innings in an encounter that the Mariners would go on to win 3-2, giving up 2 runs with 3 hits, no walks, and 9 strikeouts.
Domingo German will put the Yankees in good hands tonight as he takes to the mound for this game against the Mariners. Last week at Fenway he was pummeled, so this one will provide him with another opportunity for redemption against an offense which entered this one with one of the lowest batting averages (.227) in baseball. He has 69 innings pitched under his belt this year and is 4-4 with a 4.30 ERA, 1.087 WHIP, 23 walks, and 65 strikeouts.
