The Pharaohs’ captain, Mohamed Salah, will not be playing as he has returned to Liverpool in the Premier League following an injury sustained versus Ghana. Egypt could find some comfort in the fact that, despite knowing that Mohamed Salah would have been required for such an important game, they became a far better team after their captain was replaced against Ghana.
