The Lakers are ahead in the series after winning Game 1 128-112, giving Memphis a lot of motivation to win at home in front of a boisterous crowd. The Lakers are expected to be in good health, but the Grizzlies have Ja Morant listed as a game-time decision.

Even though they are the faces of the Lakers organization, LeBron James and Anthony Davis weren’t the top players in game one. The key players in game one were guard Austin Reaves and forward Rui Hachimura.
Hachimura, who scored 29 points on 11 of 14 shots, was the team’s top scorer. He also made five of six threes. The former top-ten choice, who was acquired from Washington midway through the season, averaged just 9.6 PPG, but he appears to be crucial to their playoff push.
In the second half of game one, Memphis crumbled. Down the line, they were unable to control the key players from Los Angeles. Even worse, the game’s best point guard, Ja Morant, had to leave because of a horrific injury to his shooting hand.
Morant’s participation in game two is uncertain because head coach Taylor Jenkins said Morant would be decided at game time. Memphis will have a difficult time tying the series before it moves to Los Angeles as a result.
