In an Eastern Conference showdown, the Miami Heat (25-23) will face off against the struggling Washington Wizards (9-38) this Friday. After enduring a 7 game losing streak, the Heat managed to bounce back and secure a victory against the Sacramento Kings with a score of 115-106 last Wednesday. On the other hand, the Wizards had their 2 game winning streak abruptly halted by the Los Angeles Clippers, who defeated them 125-109. Unfortunately, the Heat will be without Duncan Robinson due to a concussion, while Jordan Poole’s availability for the Wizards remains uncertain due to injury.
The game is set to begin at 7 pm Eastern Time at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
Heat’s forward Jimmy Butler is known to showcase his dominance on both ends of the court. With 6 All-Star appearances under his belt, he consistently contributes an average of 21.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Impressively, he has scored 26 or more points in his last 3 consecutive games. In the recent victory against the Kings on Wednesday, Butler displayed his prowess by recording 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
As for the Wizards, Kyle Kuzma has played a crucial role in contributing to the team’s success. He currently leads the team in scoring with an average of 22 points per game, along with 6.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists. In his most recent game, he showcased his skills by scoring 27 points and grabbing 2 rebounds. Unfortunately outside of the former Laker, no other Wizards member has been able to come close to his stats.
Even though Miami is definitely not to the level that pushed them to last year’s NBA finals, we expect them to take this matchup home. Wizards’ fans will have to endure yet another tough season.
