Warriors Analysis: Chris Paul might be back
The Warriors will be put to the test as they travel in this one following a strong home stand that saw them through the All-Star break. It will be difficult to travel across the nation to Washington, D.C., but they have enough talent to get past the transportation difficulties. They hardly have a winning record away from home this season, but they have momentum going in the right direction after winning 8 of their last 10 games overall and 5 of those games on the road. With road games versus the Knicks and Celtics on the horizon, the schedule gets more difficult; winning this one is essential. The only player on the Golden State Warriors’ injury report isn’t Chris Paul, who is probably going to make a comeback. Paul was coming off the bench prior to his injury, so he won’t be in the starting lineup.
Wizards Analysis: On a 11-game losing run
The Wizards have had a difficult month and are still without a victory in February. Even though they are hosting one of the more formidable teams in the nation, they will be hoping that being at home could be beneficial as they have lost their last 10 games. The Wizards have just 9 wins this season, so the future looks bleak, but with a road trip approaching, it’s now or never for them to try to turn things around. The Wizards’ struggles in this series over the years don’t help either, and with all the momentum going against them, anything other than a crushing loss would probably come as a huge surprise.
