They found themselves on the receiving end of a crushing 117-98 defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics. The Spurs faced an uphill battle after the first half, trailing with a score of 70-45. Despite a commendable performance from 1st pick Victor Wembanyama, who contributed 27 points, the Spurs have decided to rest him for Friday’s game.
Without his presence, the Spurs will be looking to rely on Devin Vassell (averaging 17.7 points per game) and Keldon Johnson (with an average of 16.9 PPG).
Overall, this could have been a close encounter if Wembanyama was on the court, however without the French man this game has a clear outcome. We give the edge to the Hornets this time around.
