The Miami Heat (8-5) and Chicago Bulls (5-9) take the floor on November 20th at United Center.
When these two teams met in the last game, the Bulls defeated the Heat 102-97. With 25 points, Jimmy Butler topped the Heat and Bam Adebayo scored 24 points on 8 of 12 shots, pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out five assists. The Heat controlled the first quarter, winning 26–14, and shot 42% from the field and 12 of 36 from three points as a team to create an early lead. However, they were unable to stop the Bulls, losing 34–21 in the 4th quarter to suffer an unexpected upset. Without a question, the Miami Heat will aim to get revenge on the Chicago Bulls and keep it from becoming a two-game deficit. It will be difficult for them to get past any opponent in the NBA if they score fewer than 100 points, so they will need to improve their offensive rhythm from what they showed last game.
With 23 points, DeMar DeRozan led the squad in their victory against the Heat; Nikola Vucevic followed with 15, and Coby White added 14 points and 5 assists. Chicago got off to a poor start and were behind by a total of 21 points last game, until they rallied and made their adjustment in the 4th quarter to steal the game from the Heat in a desperately needed victory. As a team, they shot 44% from the field and 16 of 45 from the 3-point line. The Bulls are reportedly planning to make many moves ahead of the trade deadline. Considering that valuable players like DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic are still valuable on the market, it makes sense for the team to invest in the future by obtaining draft picks. Particularly in light of Lonzo Ball’s injury-related season-long absence.
