In their most recent game, Xavier faced up against Oakland and returned to the losing column. The Musketeers lost 78-76 after falling down 43-42 at the half and failing to rally. In the losing effort, Desmond Claude finished with a team-high 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Thus far this season, Xavier defeated Saint Mary’s at home in an upset. In addition to outscoring the Gaels in the second half, the Musketeers were ahead by 10 points at the half and won 66-49. With 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, senior guard Dayvion McKnight led Xavier’s quartet of players who scored in double digits. The Xavier Musketeers pull down 34.9 rebounds every game and surrender just 27.1% of shots from beyond the arc.
