They had a fantastic start to the season, crushing Texas Southern 92–55. In the victory, just one Lobos player failed to score. New Mexico’s offensive prowess was demonstrated by their 43.5% three-point shooting, 81.5% success rate on the line for free throws, 13 offensive rebounds, 20 assists, as well as only 9 turnovers. After blowing over the Tigers, the defense will be put to the test. The Lobos need to put up more effort at this end of the court because last year’s squad allowed 74.3 points per match, which was aided by a quick tempo.
