2024 College Basketball Championship Winner

Kansas Jayhawks

Several blue-collar programs, including the Jayhawks, are thought to have underperformed in 2022–2023 by many. With a 28-8 regular campaign record (13-5 within the Big 12), Kansas was defeated by Arkansas during the tournament’s 2nd round. Despite losing both Gradey Dick and Jalen Wilson to the NBA, a number of the Jayhawks’ primary starters from the previous campaign are back, and they added Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson during the transfer window to add some size beneath the hoop.

Duke Blue Devils

The Duke Blue Devils finished 27-9 (14-6) in their initial campaign without Coach K in charge and won the ACC Conference Tournament. When healthy, the youthful squad was unstoppable, but in the end, it lost to Tennessee in the Round of 32 and looked defeated. But in their first season together, this team with a large freshmen class had a lot of potential. There’s an infinite amount of possibilities for this team with Kyle Filipowski, Tyrese Proctor, and Mark Mitchell coming back for sophomore campaigns, Jeremy Roach potentially returning for his final year of college, and 5 five-star prospects signed for the upcoming period, lead by MacKenzie Mgbako, Jared McCain, and Sean Stewart.

Purdue Boilermakers

Purdue became the second-ever No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 16 seed in the entire history of the college basketball tournament. It was a senseless, unaccountable loss. The initial team to do so, Virginia, recovered from their 2108 defeat at the hands of UMBC to win the entire tournament the following year. Purdue has the skill to be just as successful as UVA. Inside, Zach Edey will be a formidable presence once more, and Matt Painter is still one of the sport’s top-10 coaches.

Kentucky Wildcats

One year, after falling to Saint Peter’s as the No. 2 seed in Round 1, UK was defeated in the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament. The nation’s top recruiting class, headlined by five-stars Justin Edwards, Aaron Bradshaw, and DJ Wagner, along with important additions Tre Mitchell and Zvonimir Ivisic, was brought in by John Calipari. With the glimpses he displayed on the UK’s visit to Canada, Justin Edwards could end up becoming the most influential player in college football this coming season.
