Baylor’s visit to UCF sets the stage for an exciting clash in the Big 12 conference.
Baylor enters the game with a record of 14-5 for the year, however, they have a 3-3 record in conference play. They had a strong start to the season, winning their first 9 games but ultimately faced defeats in consecutive games against Michigan State and Duke. Despite this setback, they managed to secure 5 consecutive victories, including 3 in conference play. Nevertheless, their recent performances have once again been disappointing as they have suffered 3 consecutive losses. It is worth noting that all of these losses were closely contested. Firstly, they experienced a 4 point loss in overtime against Kansas State, followed by a narrow 2 point defeat against Texas. In their most recent game, they were defeated by a margin of 3 points in triple overtime against TCU.
UCF currently holds a record of 12-7 for the year, with conference play standing at 3-4. In their conference games, UCF has been alternating between wins and losses. They began their conference play with a defeat against Kansas State, but managed to surprise everyone by defeating Kansas on the road. Following that, they suffered a loss against Baylor, but once again quickly bounced back by disposing of Texas. Unfortunately, they faced another setback with a loss against Houston, but regained their momentum with a convincing 13 point victory over West Virginia. Staying consistent with their pattern, their most recent game resulted in an 11 point loss to Cincinnati, which strongly suggests yet another bounce back win.
This should be an extremely close matchup, with small variables most likely having massive consequences. Nevertheless, we expect UCF to repeat their usual pattern, especially at home where they should feel more comfortable. Thus we give the edge to the Knights.
