Game Preview

This Sunday, Nissan Stadium will host an NFL game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tennessee Titans. The Bengals’ most recent game was on Monday night against the Rams. The Bengals won that game by a score of 13-10. Tennessee, meanwhile, dropped to 1-2 on the season after suffering a blowout loss to the Browns on Sunday.

The Bengals’ season started off poorly with a pair of games against division rivals. The Bengals’ season kicked off with a loss against the Browns by a score of 24 to 3. The Bengals were close throughout their Week 2 loss to the Ravens, but ultimately came up short, falling by a score of 27-24.

On Monday, the Bengals played the Rams and won 19-16. They scored 10 points in the third quarter. Joe Mixon led the team in rushing with 23 yards on seven runs, while quarterback Joe Burrow completed 15 of 24 passes for 109 yards. With 47 yards on five receptions, Ja’Marr Chase led the team.

The Titans’ season has been mixed so far, with more lows than highs. In their season opener, the Titans played the Saints and lost 16-15 despite holding a 9-6 halftime lead. The Titans beat the Chargers 27-24 in their second game of the season thanks to a field goal in overtime.

The Vols simply stalled out against the Browns on Sunday. The Titans, already down 13-3 at halftime, continued to struggle in a 27-3 rout, surrendering points in each of the game’s four quarters. Ryan Tannehill threw for 104 yards and ran for another 20 on the ground, and Derrick Henry gained another 20. DeAndre Hopkins had the most yards among receivers with 48 on three receptions.

On Monday, Cincinnati finally broke through for their first win of the season, eking out a hard-fought victory in a defensive slugfest. Los Angeles was only able to muster 292 total yards (including 221 through the air), 15 first downs, and 1 of 11 on third down against the Bengals. The Cincinnati offense wasn’t particularly impressive, either, mustering only 309 yards of offense (242 passing) on 4.2 yards per play and converting only 5 of 17 third downs.
