The Tennessee Titans (3-7) host the Carolina Panthers (1-9) on November 26, at Nissan Stadium.
Last game, the Panthers were defeated by the Cowboys 33-10. Quarterback Bryce Young completed 16 of 29 passes for 123 yards, including an interception and touchdown while none of the Carolina receivers had more than two receptions, with the exception of WR Adam Thielen, who had eight for 74 yards. Chuba Hubbard heads the Carolina Panthers rushing game with 408 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 92.3 yards per game. In their most recent game, the Panthers defense gave up 23 first downs to the Cowboys offense, showing signs of weakness and they allowed 311 yards of offense overall, with the Cowboys passing game delivering 65.9% of the team’s passing yardage. Similar to the Titans, Carolina is in dire need of quality to surround a young quarterback who they think has great potential. Naturally, the Panthers have an advantage because their rookie player, Bryce Young, was selected first overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Last week, Tennessee lost 34–14 against Jacksonville. Will Levis, their new starting quarterback, completed 13 of 17 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, was his best target with four receptions for 59 yards and 1 touchdown. Derrick Henry, the star running back, gained 38 yards while rushing the ball ten times. Tennessee’s defense is giving up 343.1 yards and 21.4 points per game, all while Denico Autry heads the Titans with six sacks, Amani Hooker with one interception, and Azeez Al-Shaair leads the team with 94 tackles. Although Levis has significantly calmed down since his explosive debut—losing three games in a row following that first victory—the team that moved up in the draft to acquire him has practically committed to him as their quarterback going forward.
