In Week 12 the Buccaneers lost their road game against the Indianapolis Colts 27-20 The Tampa Bay defense was tested to the breaking point by the Colts’ offense, which had Gardner Minshew and Jonathan Taylor included. With six losses in their previous seven games, Tampa Bay will miss the playoffs unless Todd Bowles’ club experiences a dramatic turnaround. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has settled in Tampa Bay this season after a rollercoaster of a season the previous one. Mayfield has made 64.6% of his throws for 2389 yards through 10 starts, with 15 touchdowns to just 6 picks. He is now throwing the football far less reckless and is treating it much better. The offensive strategy used by Tampa Bay has been more thoughtful. Their top running back, Rachaad White, has accumulated 459 yards on 141 attempts, while Mike Evans is Mayfield’s preferred receiver with 780 receiving yards.
