The Serie A weekend begins on Friday, October 6th when Empoli and Udinese square off at the Stadio Carlo Castellani. Both teams enter the match in the bottom 4, which is starting to splinter, resulting in what seems like a possible early season 6 points for survival. There is going to be not much optimism coming from either squad on Friday because these two teams have only enjoyed a single victory in 14 matches this season.

The Italian international scored a trio of goals. Only three games had passed since Andreazzoli took over for Paolo Zanetti after Empoli’s humiliating 7-0 loss to Roma. Bartosz Bereszyski, Daniel Maldini, and Giuseppe Pezzella are still out due to their individual injuries.
Although Udinese hasn’t exactly lit up Serie A lately, the team does have a little bit more skill and depth than suggested. Since having an extensive list of absences owing to injury, Andrea Sottil is currently not able to announce a preferred team for the start. Given that Udinese netted a stoppage time equalizer to secure the point versus Genoa over the weekend, the draw ought to be something to hold onto. There could be a possibility to benefit from this visit to the Stadio Carlo Castellani if they are able to use that as motivation going ahead.
