To Win Serie A
The Serie A title has been bouncing around for the past couple of years. First, the nine consecutive title winner Juventus (+185) got their streak snapped by Inter Milan (+175) when they reclaimed the Italian crown in the 2020-21 season. But it didn’t last long in their hands as the title moved across the city in the following season when AC Milan (+400) made a huge comeback and were able to steal the title from them.
Right now, we could say that Inter Milan is the favorite team to win the Serie A 2022-23 title due to their recent changes. Romelu Lukaku is returning after a short stint in Premier League’s Chelsea. His ability to carry the team might just be enough to secure the title for Inter Milan, though it won’t be an easy challenge.
Now if we take a look at the rest of the contenders for the title, Juventus is next on the list. This team dominated the Serie A in the 2010s, winning 9 consecutive titles. The unfortunate thing for Allegri’s side is that they failed to win any of their final three matches last season. Now that they have acquired the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus are among the favorites to win the Serie A title.
It’s so strange to see that the current title holders are far from being the favorite team to win the league once again. The thing is that the way they ended up winning their last campaign was a bit questionable, which is why it would be an uncommon occurrence for them to win a title back-to-back. The biggest concern for AC Milan is that they are lacking in some aspects, especially in attack, where they might need an addition if they want to have a shot at defending the title.
