Real Sociedad will host Granada at Anoeta Stadium on a Saturday afternoon, with both teams looking for their first win of the 2023–24 La Liga season. Meanwhile, Granada started the 2023–24 La Liga season with two losses to Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano before finally picking up their first win of the season in their most recent match. The promoted squad got their season off to a winning start with a 3-2 victory over Mallorca thanks to goals from Miguel Rubio, Bryan Zaragoza, and Myrto Uzuni.
Granada finished the 2022–23 Segunda Division season three points ahead of second-place Las Palmas and so earned promotion back to the top division. Seven new players have joined the Andalusian club this summer, with Lucas Boye’s arrival from Elche representing the club’s largest transfer cost.
