The Braves enter this series as the greatest team in baseball with a 72-41 record. They just finished a four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates and managed to achieve a split. It was the last stop of a three- or four-day road trip. In addition, they are tied for the month of August at 5-5.

The Mets are ranked 24th in batting average, 18th in on-base percentage, 19th in runs, 11th in home runs, and 20th in slugging percentage, therefore their offense is not very good. So, despite having some decent hitters, they continue to have problems at the plate and produce little of note.
For the Mets, Tylor Megill will take the mound. He has a 6-5 record and a 5.45 ERA. After allowing five earned runs on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings, he will also be looking to improve today.
So far this season, the Braves have a 5-1 record versus the Mets. In addition, in the last 25 games played against division opponents, they have a 15-10 record. The Braves have a 2-1 record at Citi Field versus the Mets this year. The Braves, on the other hand, went 3-6 against the Mets at Citi Field last season.
