Reynaldo Lopez (1-0) pitched six scoreless innings, giving up 3 hits, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts to earn the victory. Raisel Iglesias worked one inning and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits, one strikeout, and no walks in earning his second save.

In the third and final game of their 3-game series, Miami prevailed over the Yankees to prevent a sweep.
