The Pittsburgh Pirates are headed to the West Coast following an uneven homestand that began with the Pirates being swept by the Red Sox and ended with the team winning 2 of the first 3 games in a close series against the Brewers, who lead the NL Central Division. Giants Analysis: Coming off a tough 6-run loss
In their most recent game, the New York Mets defeated the Giants 8-2. Six different players had walks on the day, with Wilmer Flores being the only player with two hits. Tyler Fitzgerald increased the score with a solo effort. With two strikeouts and one hit allowed in his scoreless inning, Ryan Walker started the game well.
