Twins Analysis: They’re unbeaten in 7 consecutive games
With the intention of continuing where they left off against the White Sox last week, the Minnesota Twins travel to Chicago. The Twins outscored the White Sox 25-11 in the series as they defeated them in four games in Minnesota. The Twins went to Anaheim over the weekend to play the Los Angeles Angels. After winning the first two games, the Twins improved to 13–13 on the season, back to.500. The Twins defeated the Angels 11-5 on Sunday to clinch the series and extend their winning streak to seven games. The Twins advanced to 14-13 on the season with three hits from four different Twins players, including DH Ryan Jeffers, who knocked in two and scored one run.
White Sox Analysis: On a 3-game winning run
The Chicago White Sox had a record of 3-22 going into their weekend series against the Rays; while 6-22 doesn’t seem much better, it’s a positive start for this struggling squad. Chicago’s season is going to be extremely long because, regrettably, they enter the game ranked 29th in both pitching and hitting. They also lack any well-known stars in the lineup to assist them capitalize on any small amount of momentum. Young left-hander Garrett Crochet, who gave up five earned runs in just four innings of work against the Twins in his last outing, will start for Chicago in this one. The White Sox defeated the Rays 4-2 at home in their most recent game, their third straight victory over them thanks to a wonderful 8.1 innings of work from Erick Fedde.
