They are the 4th team with the lowest home runs allowed in the MLB, having allowed only 133 home runs in 2023.
The Mets have prevailed in their last two matches, both by a score of one. With the victory, New York raised their record over the AL in 2023 to 11-10. Earlier this month, New York won 6 straight games but was unable to maintain its current pace. They only managed 3 runs in the series while losing 2 of their 3 home games against the Dodgers. The team is no longer in the running for a playoff position after falling 8 and a half games short of a Wildcard position. In their previous 10 meetings, they are 6-4.
