The Milwaukee Bucks are favorites in their upcoming match against the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Despite playing at home, the Raptors are clear underdogs looking to break a 3-game losing streak that keeps them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. The Bucks have only played 3 games so far but have managed to win 2 of them, a narrow 118-117 victory against the 76ers and a 122-114 victory against the Heat. Atlanta, who recently beat the Bucks, is 2-2, meaning that if the Bucks can get their expected victory against the Raptors, they will surpass them, diminishing the effect of their loss against them.
Giannis continues to be the Bucks driving force and seemingly unstoppable at that. With a 27.3 average points-per-game and a 10.3 average rebounds per game, the Raptors will have to come up with some sort of tactic to stop the bleeding once it starts. The Raptors did start the season with a victory over the Timberwolves but have only seen defeat ever since, conceding games to the Bulls, 76ers and most importantly, the Trail Blazers. In fact, the Raptors are the only victory the Trail Blazers have gotten so far this season, really setting the stage for a very hard game in Toronto tonight.
Scottie Barnes averages 20.8 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game, far less than what Giannis has to his name at the time. As for threes, Cameron Payne currently sits at a 63% efficiency rate while Bobby Portis sits at 61% for field goal percentage which is the one stat that the Raptors excel at withJakob Poeltl at an impressive 71%.
