On Wednesday’s NBA schedule, fans can look forward to an exhilarating Eastern Conference showdown between the Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls. The game is set to tip off at 7 pm Eastern Time at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. The Hornets currently hold a record of 10-35 overall, with a home record of 5-17. On the other hand, the Bulls boast a record of 22-26 overall, with a road record of 8-15.
The Hornets’ recent string of poor performances took a turn for the worse on Monday following their 4th consecutive defeat. Their luck took a nosedive as they suffered a 113-92 loss against the New York Knicks. Although the game was rather even at halftime, the Hornets were absolutely outplayed in the second half, resulting in a disappointing 67-49 deficit.
Despite a stellar performance from Brandon Miller, who contributed 29 points and 7 rebounds, the Hornets suffered a defeat. Miles Bridges also had an impressive game, recording 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. However, the rest of the team excluding Miller and Bridges heavily struggled with their shooting, managing only an average of 38.1% field goal percentage.
In the meantime, the Bulls suffered a highly unexpected 118-107 defeat against the Toronto Raptors at home. This loss is particularly painful considering that the Bulls had a commanding lead of 59-43 by the second quarter. However, the Bulls can take solace in the impressive performance of DeMar DeRozan, who contributed 25 points, 5 assists, and 4 blocks.
As a two way player, DeMar DeRozan was incredible, however the lack of scoring was evident in the second half where most players seemed to be out of steam.
Overall, we expect the Hornets to exploit the Bulls’ recent woes, especially as they will be playing on their home court.
