With seven assists, guard Tyrese Maxey scored 26 points. Philly’s field goal percentage was 51.1%. They also had trouble defensively, giving up 56.5% shooting from the field to the Wizards. However, the Sixers obtained just two blocks despite winning the board battle 43–32. After averaging 4 points per game, 9th in field goal %, 9th in three-point percentage, 6th in offensive rebounds, and 10th in turnovers heading into this game, Philadelphia is ranked 4th in the NBA. Joel Embiid, the center for the 76ers, leads the NBA in points scored per game (33.1) and is vying for another MVP award.
