Friday, October 27th, marks the start of the 2023–24 NBA campaign. The Orlando Magic and Portland Trail Blazers will play a cross-conference game at Portland, Oregon’s Moda Center.

The Blazers are looking for their first victory after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers 123-111 in their campaign opening on Wednesday, but had some potential in their youthful, redesigned lineup. Scoot Henderson, the third overall choice in the 2023 NBA Draft, made his court debut with 36 minutes, 11 points, 4 assists, and 4 turnovers. The Trail Blazers will turn to Deandre Ayton and Scoot Henderson as their franchise’s future leaders now that Damian Lillard has moved on. This club doesn’t have too high of standards, therefore anticipated for them to surpass some expectations this season. Ish Wainright will be unavailable for this contest due to injury, while Anfernee Simons is doubtful.
