After two tight defeats to start conference play, VCU rebounded last week, defeating George Mason and La Salle away from home. In the 2nd half of the defensive struggle, Max Shulga produced 8 of his team’s 13 points. In their last game, they won 71-65 against the Explorers . Even though Saint Louis lost to No. 21 Dayton in the end, the loss gave them some much-needed confidence on the road. In that game, the Billikens led by two points at the half, but they lost 70-65. In addition to junior guard Gibson Jimerson’s 13 points and 7 rebounds, junior forward Bradley Ezewiro finished with 10 points. In their last game, the Billikens defeated Saint Joseph’s thanks to a prolific scoring performance from Jimerson, who drained 27 points and 7 3-pointers. With an average of 16.9 points per game, he tops the club and is 1 of 5 players who score in double figures. After missing the first part of the season, Ezewiro has only started 5 matches, so it will be challenging for them to be consistent
