November 21st collegiate basketball game between the Milwaukee Panthers (2-3) and the Siena Saints (1-3) will take place at Ocean Center.
The goal for the Siena Saints is to end a three-game losing run. Last game, the Siena Saints fell to Central Michigan 70-56 by a score of 14 points. Sadly, though, Siena has struggled since their win against Holy Cross and has had a lot of problems scoring. The Saints finished the first three games with a 1-2 record after dropping their next two, 90-48 against Richmond and 78-58 versus American.In terms of shooting percentage, the Siena Saints average 58.8 points on 44.3% and surrendering 77.3 points on 53.3%. Last game, Giovanni Emejuru scored 20 points to lead the Saints in scoring while Mason Courtney also scored thirteen points. They are struggling to take care of the ball as they gave up 19 giveaways in their loss to the American University Eagles.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, got off to a strong start, defeating Wisconsin-Stout 91-73 in their first game. Before dominating Luther 85-56, the Panthers would drop 2 games, 79-69 against Providence and 106-79 to Colorado. When the Panthers faced Stetson last game, they were down by 13 points at the half and never got any closer in their 85-67 defeat. Milwaukee’s offensive performance this season has been strong, averaging 81 scores on 39.7 percent shooting from the field but the Panthers’ defense has struggled recently, giving up about 79 points per game, especially 85 in their last loss. BJ Freeman leads the club in scoring going into today’s game with an average of 21.7, whereas Elijah Jamison has an average of 8.2 points per game going into it as well.
This will be an entertaining game as one squad is having difficulties scoring but is very strong on defense and the other team can put some points on the board easily but defending is a very hard task for them.
