After defeating Le Moyne in their last game, Merrimack comes into this game with an overall record of 15-10. This year’s Warriors didn’t have a fantastic start. As the calendar year 2023 came to an end, they were just 6–8. Since then, Merrimack has come together for a 9-2 run, winning their last 6 games over Stonehill, Wagner, St. Francis PA, Central Connecticut, LIU, and Le Moyne. The Warriors led by ten points heading into the locker room of their Saturday match against Le Moyne. Merrimack won 66-50 after holding the Dolphins at bay for the remainder of the game with a 31-25 run. A team-high 15 points were scored by Adam Clark (5 assists, 6 steals), and Bryan Etumnu (7 rebounds, 4 blocks).
Stonehill Analysis: They only have 3 wins on the season
Regarding Stonehill, they just suffered a defeat to St. Francis PA, which brought the Skyhawks record to only 3-23 overall. On the Stonehill side, they haven’t had many victories this year. The Skyhawks’ only other win came against Hartford on December 27 after defeating Army in their opening game of the season. Stonehill defeated Wagner following a 10-game losing run, but then fell short against Le Moyne and St. Francis PA. When the Skyhawks faced St. Francis PA over the weekend, they were behind by 4 points at the half. After a 43-38 run, Stonehill lost 72-63 and was unable to get any closer. Louie Semona led the club with 13 points and 4 rebounds after coming off the bench.
