Right as it appeared that Tim Albin would never be able to succeed Frank Solich as the head coach, Ohio started to excel once more in college football. When Albin took over, the team had a 6-11 record and the defense was being completely crushed. Then, in the last 8 contests, the team went on a seven-game winning streak, losing only to Toledo in the MAC Championship and finishing with an exciting Arizona Bowl triumph over Wyoming. Now that the talent is there, everything can continue
The All-MAC superstar quarterback skipped the last 3 matches of the previous season after suffering an ACL tear. However, Rourke elevates the Bobcats to a new level. Junior CJ Harris jumped in and held the squad alive. He helped the team to 2 victories and performed admirably in the bowl victory
The defensive unit ought to build over the results from the second half of the previous season to be much better straight from the beginning; the offense has lots of depth throughout every position along with a good line and maybe more explosiveness if QB Kurtis Rourke returns healthy.
