In Week 10, the Minnesota Vikings (5-4) will take on the New Orleans Saints (5-4) at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday.
After defeating Atlanta 31-28 the previous game, the Minnesota Vikings enter this one hoping to continue their winning streak at four games. Jalen Hall sustained a concussion on the match’s second drive, forcing Josh Dobbs into play versus the Falcons just 5 days shortly after the Vikings acquired him. Despite not practicing a single snap with the entire squad, he turned in a spectacular effort that helped Minnesota prevail in the final seconds. In addition to running for 66 yards and one rushing touchdown, he completed 20 of 30 throws for 158 yards and a pair of scores. Despite having lost Kirk Cousins, the Vikings are obviously a different squad, but they were still able to secure a victory. Camryn Bynum and Jordan Hicks have partnered for a team-high 80 total tackles on defense, and Bynum also has two interceptions. Having 10 sacks, Danielle Hunter heads the Vikings; D.J. Wonnum has four sacks, while Byron Murphy Jr. owns two interceptions so far this year.
The Saints are 5-4 as they get ready to play the Vikings. They are presently ranked first in the NFC-South and fourth overall in the NFC. The opening quarter ended with no points, but the Saints came back to secure the victory. They gained 301 yards offensively while giving up 368 yards against the Bears. Derek Carr completed 73% of his throws for 211 yards. Carr scored a pair of touchdowns on passes. The Saints are 15th in the NFL in terms of offensive efficiency, scoring 21.7 points per contest. Currently ranked 18th in the NFL, the Saints average 103.9 running yards per contest. In week 9, the Bears attempted to take the lead by rushing the football on 32 occasions for 156 yards versus the Saints. By the end of the match, New Orleans’ defense had given up 368 yards, of which 212 were gained on passes.
