Game Preview

Sunday’s matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium. The AFC South appears to be a little more competitive than anticipated. This past weekend, the Tennessee Titans defeated the Bengals 27-3 to go to 2-2, tying them with the Indianapolis Colts, who came close to winning their third game in Week 4. In overtime against the Rams, the Colts were defeated 29–23. In the division, there is currently a four-way tie at 2-2.

With 1:56 remaining, the Colts knotted the score. Regrettably for the Colts, their defense was unable to make a stop as the Rams carried the game off against them in overtime. The Colts’ ability to rally was motivating. They didn’t play well, but they persevered nonetheless. Indianapolis managed only 19 first downs despite being outgained by more than 100 yards, but their defense made stops when they were supposed to, and their offense scored when the contest was on the line.

Anthony Richardson, the rookie quarterback with the Colts, returned last week after being in the concussion protocol. In an overtime defeat against the Los Angeles Rams, he scored a total of 3 TDs. Jonathan Taylor, a standout running back for Indianapolis, was taken off the PUP list, so he might be available again.

The Titans appeared to be among the weakest sides in football just a few weeks ago. Then they faced the Bengals in Week 4 and destroyed them. Tennessee prevented Cincy from scoring, limited them to 211 total yards and only 14 first downs, and reduced them to a 22% third down conversion rate. The Titans’ offense totaled 400 yards. Derrick Henry got back to his old self, Ryan Tannehill looked reliable, and the Titans earned a much-needed victory, albeit over a struggling Bengals squad.

Derrick Henry will undoubtedly be used by the Tennessee Titans for running the ball all over opposition defenses. Henry gained 122 yards on 22 carries over the victory against Cincinnati after totaling only 163 in his previous 3 outings. Ryan Tannehill will have more chances to find open receivers further downfield as a result.
