Thursday Night Football, a pivotal AFC North matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium, starts off the Week 11 NFL program.
In the competitive AFC North, the Ravens are at the top, followed closely by two teams at 7-3 then the Bengals at 5-4. Baltimore had defeated Detroit and Seattle, two teams that could make the playoffs, during a four-game winning streak, but Cleveland defeated them with a last-minute field goal the previous week. The Ravens lost 33-31 to the Cleveland Browns after being overpowered 16-7 in the fourth quarter. Lamar Jackson made a few crucial errors. 13 of his 23 passes were completed for 223 yards, one touchdown, plus a pair of interceptions by the end of the contest. He also gained 41 yards on 8 rushes. The defense allows 15.7 points per match, while the Ravens are scoring 27 points on average. The defense, which leads the league in defense rankings, will need to perform well in this game.
The Cincinnati Bengals appeared to be finally coming together and living up to expectations after a shaky start. They defeated the Bills, 49ers, and Seahawks, three teams that could make the playoffs, in their last 4 victories, prior to losing last week. The Bengals ultimately lost 30-27 to the Houston Texans after giving up a late score. Joe Burrow gained 347 yards, a pair of touchdowns, and a pair of interceptions on 27 of his 40 throws completed. Despite having an injury before the game, Ja’Marr Chase caught 5 receptions for 124 yards including a touchdown. While their defense allows 21.3 points per match, the Bengals are scoring 20.2 points on average. The defense will have to step up in this match to contain Lamar Jackson. Despite suffering a finger injury in the previous match, Taylor-Britt is anticipated to make an appearance on Thursday.
