In week 15, on December 17, the Green Bay Packers (6-7) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7) at Lambeau Field.
Head coach Matt LaFleur suffered his first defeat in December as the Packers fell to the New York Giants 24–22 in their last game. Love has completed 23 touchdown passes for 3,084 yards and 11 interceptions while throwing and he’s had to make some plays because Green Bay’s running game is mediocre at best. Christian Watson has 28 receptions, while Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs have accounted for 1,077 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. AJ Dillon tops the Green Bay Packers running game with 574 yards and one touchdown, averaging 106.3 yards per game.
Tampa Bay defeated the NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons 29–25 last game, putting them on a two-game winning streak. Running back Rachaad White rushed for a season-high 102 yards, his 2nd 100-yard contest in three weeks, and quarterback Baker Mayfield threw 2 touchdowns.
Both of Mayfield’s games at Lambeau, one with the Los Angeles Rams and the other with the Cleveland Browns, ended in losses. Rachaad White has 48 catches, while Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have accounted for 1,679 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. With 6.3 yards gained per attempt, the passing game is mediocre at best. To its credit, Tampa Bay reduces the amount of turnovers as with the fewest turnovers in the league, the Bucs rank seventh. With how they are playing they just have to keep doing what they’re doing to win.
