The Bills are hoping to achieve a fever pitch at the conclusion of the season to secure a postseason place, and they just came off a very impressive 31-10 victory against the Dallas Cowboys at home. With Justin Herbert back there, it was challenging enough, but with quarterback Easton Slick beginning behind center, things have become so terrible this season that they had to tidy up the house before it was finished. They are in possession of a defensive-minded head coach in Giff Smith, the interim head coach. He started playing with the group in 2016. Given that it appeared the Chargers had already given up on Staley for a while prior, it’s difficult to ignore the fact that some teams experience a jump in performance when a coach is fired.
