They got a 2-0 lead early into the game as Edward Nketiah scored 2 goals in a span of 5 minutes. It took Leeds around 70 minutes to score their first goal and we could see they had hopes of securing a draw, but those hopes got crushed by Arsenal’s defense.
Now, looking at Chelsea, they are currently the worst-performing team in the top-4. None of the teams sitting in the top 4 have lost a single game out of their last 4, except for Chelsea. They most recently lost against 16th-place team Everton in a game where Chelsea had a 78% possession, but they still weren’t able to score a single goal.
But the loss that is haunting Chelsea is the one against the team that is right behind them in the standings. Arsenal is sitting only one point behind Chelsea and their dominating victory over them might be all they needed to guarantee themselves a spot in the next Champions League. Tuchel can’t afford a defeat against one of the worst teams in the league, that’s why they’ll arrive full-force at the Elland Road.
