The seventh day of the Premier League season ends with a west London derby between Fulham and Chelsea. After breaking a terrible three-game scoreless drought against high-flying Brighton in the Carabao Cup, the Blues make the short trip to Craven Cottage.

Following a victory over Luton Town in the Premier League and a draw with Crystal Palace, Fulham also emerged victorious in the FA Cup. The 2023/24 season has gotten off to a shaky start for Marco Silva’s squad, with a record of two wins, two ties, and two losses.
In 2022–2023, Fulham performed admirably after being promoted to the Premier League the previous offseason. They finished in the top half of the league, tenth overall, seven points ahead of eleventh-place Crystal Palace. In addition to their league success, they advanced to the FA Cup quarter finals before losing to Manchester United.
Fulham’s early season performance was middling, with wins over Brentford and Hoffenheim offset by losses to Chelsea and Fulham. They have played six games and have eight points, good for 11th position. Fulham’s record in their last three games across all competitions is two victories and one tie.
