Newcastle might have taken out their ticket cards to the knockout rounds had they held onto their advantage versus Milan, which came from Joelinton’s boot, but Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze crushed the Newcastle’s hopes of qualifying for Europe, with PSG only getting a point on the road to Dortmund. After losing to Everton and Tottenham Hotspur through an overall score of 7-1 in their previous two Premier League games, Howe’s ruined team lost to Milan for the third time in a row in all competitions. They are currently ranked 7th in the table and are only ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion regarding goal differential. The injury issue at Newcastle doesn’t seem to be getting better. Kieran Trippier and Anthony Gordon are currently doubtful, with Trippier already suspended for this game.
