Juventus and visiting Lazio will take place at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
After three rounds of Serie A play, Juventus sits atop the standings with a lossless record. They started the season off with a resounding 0–3 victory on the road against Udinese. The final possession percentage was 52% for Juventus, compared to 48% for the home team. Importantly, they converted through proven goal-scorers like Federico Chiesa, Dusan Vlahovic, and Adrien Rabiot in the final third.
At the Allianz Stadium on matchday, Allegri’s team was held to a 1-1 tie by Bologna. Juventus showed great resolve by coming back to tie the game in the 80th minute thanks to a goal from Dusan Vlahovic.
Just before the break for international competition, Juventus won 2-0 on the road against Empoli. The goals from Danilo and Federico Chiesa gave the Old Lady a very easy victory.
On Saturday, Maximiliano Allegri will host Lazio at the Allianz Stadium hoping to keep his team’s undefeated league record intact.
Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio have stumbled out of the gate in Serie A. They started off with two straight losses before finally picking up their first win just before the international break.
A 2-1 setback at Lecce on opening day was a bummer. Despite taking the lead in the 26th minute through Ciro Immobile, Sarri’s team ultimately lost the game due to goals scored by Pontus Almqvist and Federico Di Francesco in the 85th and 87th minutes, respectively.
After losing on opening day, Lazio continued to perform poorly against Genoa at home, eventually falling 0-1 to Mateo Retegui’s goal in the 16th minute.
To get their season off to a good start, Lazio had to go to Napoli, home of the champions, and win. They got it in dramatic fashion, winning 1-2 at home to earn some bragging rights.
Maurizio Sarri will be hoping for a repeat performance from his team on Saturday when they travel to face Juventus in an attempt to win their second consecutive Serie A match.
