AC Milan’s great start has propelled them to the top of the league, where they now hold a perfect record and the greatest goal difference. Stefano Pioli’s squad opened the season with a 2-0 victory away at Bologna thanks in large part to the efforts of Frenchmen Mike Maignan and Olivier Giroud.
Christian Pulisic, another new addition, scored on his debut and added another in last weekend’s 4-1 thumping of Torino. Giroud scored twice from the penalty spot in the thrashing to put himself atop the Serie A scoring charts and make history as the fifth player in Milan’s history to score in his first two league games for the club.
