On Friday night, Jose Mourinho will be back in the sideline for Roma when they host AC Milan in Serie A. Milan’s journey to Rome is one of the most anticipated games of what promises to be a jam-packed weekend of Serie A action.

With Tammy Abraham out for the season with a major knee injury, the Roma manager is hoping that the loan arrival of Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku will help turn the team’s fortunes around.
Lukaku will rejoin with the manager who brought him to Manchester United in 2017, Jose Mourinho, despite Belotti’s two goals on the opening day. Even though Mourinho has admitted that all of Roma’s new signings have something to prove after last season’s disappointing results, he has welcomed a slew of fresh faces to the club.
After two potentially winnable games to start the season, Mourinho needs a response from his team. Antonio Candreva, a former player for Lazio, scored twice in his return to the Stadio Olimpico to help Salernitana earn a 2-2 draw with the Giallorossi on the season’s opening day.
Then, Roma lost 2-1 to Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi due in large part to a disastrous first half. Roma haven’t started a league season winless since the 2011-12 season, and they’ll have to work hard to prevent it this time around.
AC Milan’s great start has propelled them to the top of the league, where they now hold a perfect record and the greatest goal difference. Stefano Pioli’s squad opened the season with a 2-0 victory away at Bologna thanks in large part to the efforts of Frenchmen Mike Maignan and Olivier Giroud.
Christian Pulisic, another new addition, scored on his debut and added another in last weekend’s 4-1 thumping of Torino. Giroud scored twice from the penalty spot in the thrashing to put himself atop the Serie A scoring charts and make history as the fifth player in Milan’s history to score in his first two league games for the club.
