His resume boasts wins over luminaries like Angel Sarinana, Malik Hawkins, Argenis Mendez, and Nick DeLomba, all of whom contributed to his already stellar reputation as an athlete. Hitchins’s boxing skills set him apart from the competition and allow him to routinely outbox, smarter, and outwork his rivals. He had previously beaten Yomar Alamo in 8 rounds to win the IBF NABF Super Lightweight Title.
While fighting Terry Flanagan for the WBO World Lightweight Title in 2015, Jose Zepeda dislocated his shoulder and was knocked out through technical knockout. In 2019, he also failed in his bid to capture the WBC World Super Lightweight Title, which was won by Jose Ramirez by majority decision.
Regardless of these failures, Zepeda embarked on a remarkable seven-fight win streak. He fought Regis Prograis for the WBC World Super Lightweight Title but was defeated by unanimous decision. In his most recent bout, Zepeda bounced back with a unanimous decision over Neeraj Goyat.
