After three losses, Mallorca is currently 17th in the standings, and their fans will likely be worried about how many goals their team has conceded so far. Recent defeat came on the road at the hands of Granada, when they lost by a score of 3-2. But useful lessons may have been learned from that public demonstration.
With their good start to the season, Athletic Bilbao could be among the serious contenders for a European spot this term. Bilbao is now in fifth place, but they have bounced back nicely from a loss in the season opener by winning their previous two games.

The last two meetings between these teams have both finished in 1-1 draws, including last year’s equivalent. However, Mallorca has won their last three matches at home without losing to Bilbao. The last time the visitors won this match was in December of 2012.
Bilbao’s recent trips to Mallorca haven’t gone well, but they’re a team that’s off to a great start this season. We can expect a competitive game between the two Spanish teams, but the little edge goes to the visitors to make it three wins in a row.
