As the NLCS moves to the west for the third game on Thursday night, the Philadelphia Phillies hope to put the squeeze on the Arizona Diamondbacks after two convincing victories at Citizens Bank Park earlier in the week. If successful, they will be on the verge of securing a second consecutive World Series berth.
Until Philadelphia’s offense opened the game up in the 6th and 7th innings of Game 2, the Phillies and Diamondbacks fought a close game. To avoid falling down 3-0 in the series and facing elimination, the D-backs must push Game 2 out of their thoughts. Ranger Suarez will take the mound for the Phillies.
