On Thursday, a doubleheader between the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels will kick off. The Angels have won six of their previous seven games, demonstrating their excellent recent performance. The Tigers’ two-game winning streak was broken on Tuesday when they were defeated 7-6 by the Angels. Both teams are currently ranked third in their respective divisions. Meanwhile, Hunter Renfroe has good hands and raw power for the Angels. Renfroe has good range in the outfield and can drive the ball to all fields. The 31-year-old’s first season with Los Angeles has seen him hit 15 home runs and 42 RBI. Against the Pirates on July 22, he had a 1-for-3 performance and a double.
Mickey Moniak, another right fielder, is a reliable batter who approaches the plate with extreme composure. Moniak uses his excellent glove in the outfield while continuing to make solid contact everywhere on the field. He is hitting .333 with 35 RBI and 11 home homers. Including Tuesday’s game against the Tigers, when he went 2-for-5 with a double and one RBI, Moniak has now had a hit in 14 straight games.
