The Rangers are unquestionably on a roll after winning 11 of their last 13 games. Unfortunately, southpaw Jordan Montgomery will earn the Tuesday start; in 23 appearances this season, he has posted a 7-10 record with a rather decent 3.38 ERA.
The Rangers’ wealth of talent was further increased during the trade deadline, and they already had a deep roster to begin with. Texas has made a number of moves, including the addition of lefty Jordan Montgomery, who is scheduled to pitch for the team tonight.
Montgomery, a former Yankee and Cardinal, was dealt a major setback in 2018 when it was announced that he will require Tommy John surgery. About five years later, Montgomery has made quite the return, becoming a mainstay in the Rangers’ starting rotation.
