Today the St. Louis Cardinals will square up against the Atlanta Braves for the second encounter of their three-game series at Truist Park. His last start was the best of his season, containing the Marlins’ offense in a convincing manner, holding them to only 2 runs across 7 frames.
On the other hand, Ian Anderson will be taking on the mound for the Atlanta Braves. If we take a look at Anderson’s numbers throughout the season, it’s obvious he is not having his best season: 5.31 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over 76.1 innings pitched. But if we are talking specifically about his recent performance, it gets worse. June was his worst month in quite a while with a 6.91 ERA. This is going to be his chance for redemption as he is going up against a rookie.
