With 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, Stephen Curry led the way. Klay Thompson followed with 19 points on 7 of 12 shots, while Gary Payton scored 15 points from the bench. The Warriors as a whole only shot 43% from the floor and 18 of 45 from three, but they played solid defense, holding the Rockets to a low in the opening half. In the final period, they limited the Rockets to a mere 20 points, which allowed them to get ahead and win easily.
