Game Preview

Forget about Houston, Memphis does have a serious problem. Ja Morant is expected to miss Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors. The young superstar sustained a controversial knee injury in Game 3, which Golden State ended up winning 142-112.
Morant’s 115 total points are the highest ever for the first three games of a Western Conference Semifinal series. On the bright side, Dillon Brooks is eligible to return. He was given a one-game suspension after another controversial foul in Game 2. That’s why the Grizzlies expect Jordan Poole to be suspended as well.
“Jordan Poole actually grabbed his knee and yanked it, which kind of triggered whatever happened,” Memphis’ head coach Taylor Jenkins explained.
On the other hand, Poole said: “It was a basketball play when we doubled him. I hit the ball and I was going for the ball. I mean, obviously you don’t want to see anybody get hurt. I’m not even that type of player. I respect everybody. Hopefully he gets better.”

Game 4 is scheduled for tonight at Chase Center, where the Warriors own a 35-10 record. As expected, the home side is heavily favored (10 points). Besides the fact that Morant isn’t expected to play, Golden State is 6-0 straight up in their last six games at home.

Poole (78 points in total in the first three games) and Steph Curry (81 points) have been great for the Warriors. As if that wasn’t enough, Klay Thompson woke up in Game 3, finishing with 21 points after shooting for 61.5 percent from the floor.

The Warriors are 3-0 when the three of them score 20+ points.

Besides Morant, Santi Aldama and Killian Tillie are expected to miss the game for the Grizzlies. As for the W
